Navigating the Elder Care Universe from the Beginning…
In astronomy, Orion is one of the most recognized constellations in the night sky. Orion is also known as a key navigational tool for locating other stars outside of its pattern.
In this spirit, The Orion Resource Group draws many parallels. Our members comprise an expanding universe of varied senior and elder care professionals. We are bright and guiding stars of senior and elder care expertise, willing to share our extensive knowledge with others. We are committed to knowing fellow professionals and connecting to those who excel in areas outside of our specialty to benefit our clients and others we care about.
We act on leveraging these strengths. This is the bedrock on which Orion was founded in 2001 and on which Orion still stands firmly today.
… Lighting the Way Today and Tomorrow
The Orion Resource Group is an organization of business professionals dedicated to serving and enhancing the lives of seniors. Our members are leaders in their fields and include a broad range of elder care specialists.
Orion members have expertise in elder law/trusts/estates, accounting and finance, assisted living, home health care / companion care, health & wellness, elder advocacy, moving / transitions, residence options, insurances, in-home services and supplies, creative arts… and much more. We work in corporations, small to medium sized firms or as independent consultants.
Orion brings professionals together to leverage our distinct knowledge and depth of experience to help one other and, ultimately, the clients we serve. We attract, maintain and cultivate an expanding universe of resources for the most relevant and critical aspects of senior and elder care.
Our members share a “give-to-receive” ideology for conducting business. We welcome being called upon when others need access to advice, information and ideas. How we conduct business is as important as what we do.
Orion’s essence is simple. We are a growing group of senior/elder care professionals who genuinely value both knowing one another personally and being well connected for the benefit of our clients and others looking for guidance on senior and elder matters.
What Sets Us Apart Matters To Those We Serve
There’s no doubt that the sheer number of seniors in the U.S. today is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Seniors’ needs are growing and the issues they face are becoming more and more complex. Orion members understand this and appreciate what their fellow members can contribute to confront elder concerns head on and work to resolve them.
As Individual Members: We all bring a wide spectrum of subject matter expertise to the table. Building on our individual strengths, we are equally committed to learning about our fellow members. This gives us the unique opportunity to be of even greater value to clients, colleagues, family and friends. As a result, we enhance our own personal value and help our businesses prosper.
As An Organization: Additionally, Orion is deeply invested in five key “missions”. These missions focus on significant concerns facing seniors and elders today -- and align with those that are projected to impact the seniors and elders of tomorrow. We actively advocate for these missions with one single goal in mind: For elders to thrive in society with superior quality of life, dignity and respect.
Meetings
The Orion Group meets monthly in New York City. Presentations by senior care experts, spirited discussion and individual introductions help members stay current on news and events affecting the industry. Our meetings are informal, yet insightful. Prospective members, invited by current members, are welcome to attend.
Additional meetings are held during the year to help members hone their business skills. These sessions are “entrepreneurial” in spirit and appeal across the board, regardless of the business environment in which members work. They serve to increase our overall value and effectiveness in the marketplace.
